Five kilos is the breaker you can still hold up: on a wall, at shoulder height, inside a bathroom. It is the machine for tile and plaster removal, cutting openings in brick and breaking light concrete — the work of interior, tiling, plumbing and electrical contractors. For slabs and beams you need the 11 kg class.

Three machines, one weight
- GSH 5 HX — ₹16,621. The cheapest Bosch breaker we sell. 5.7 kg, 7.8 J, up to 3,190 blows a minute, and a 17 mm hex chisel holder. Before GST it is ₹14,086.
- GSH 5 MX — ₹25,369. The same 7.8 J and blow rate with an SDS-max holder. Bosch describe a one-handed vario-lock with 12 chisel positions. ₹8,748 more than the HX.
- GSH 5 — ₹29,866. 5.6 kg, 7.5 J, 2,850 blows a minute, SDS-max. Bosch call it the entry-level machine of their SDS-max demolition hammer range, compact for hard-to-reach spaces. Before GST it is ₹25,310.
HX or MX: decide by your chisels
On paper the GSH 5 HX and GSH 5 MX hit the same: 7.8 J at 2,610–3,190 blows a minute. What you pay the extra ₹8,748 for is the SDS-max fitting. A 17 mm hex chisel does not go into an SDS-max machine, and an SDS-max chisel does not go into the HX. If your crew already carries one kind of chisel, buy the machine that takes it. When 5 kg is not enough
A 5 kg breaker will chip a thin slab, slowly. If the job is a roof slab, a beam or a column, step up to the GSH 11 E (₹30,975) or GSH 11 VC (₹74,761) — only ₹1,109 separates the GSH 5 from the GSH 11 E. Do you have the GSH 500 or a 7 kg breaker?
Neither is on our current list. The 5 kg Bosch breakers we sell are the three above; the next weight up is 11 kg. If you were quoted a GSH 500, ask us — and compare the chisel fitting, not only the price.
Can a 5 kg breaker break an RCC slab?
A thin one, slowly. It is built for tiles, plaster, brick and light concrete. For RCC slabs and beams, an 11 kg machine does the job in a fraction of the time.
Breaker or rotary hammer for tile removal?
If you also need to drill, a rotary hammer with a chisel mode can do light tile work — see the rotary hammer price list. If breaking is the whole job, a breaker does it faster.
Does it come with a GST invoice?

How do payment and delivery work?
Payment terms are agreed on the call for each order: full advance, part advance, or payment on delivery. In Delhi NCR we send it by Porter, often the same day; outside NCR by transport. Delivery is free all over India on orders of ₹5,000 or more; below ₹5,000 it is ₹200, GST included. Or collect it from our counter in Badarpur.
