16 kg Breaker Machine Price: Bosch GSH 16-30

Sixteen kilos is where a breaker stops being something you hold and becomes something you stand over.

Updated 27 October 2026 · 6 min

The short answer. Bosch's 16 kg breaker is the GSH 16-30: 16.9 kg, 41 J per blow, 30 mm hex chisels, ₹1,04,795 including 18% GST (₹88,809 before GST; price checked 27 Oct 2026). Buy it for floors, foundations and roads where the work is measured in square metres. If the job is lighter, the 14.6 kg GSH 14 C at ₹71,069 is the cheaper alternative.

Sixteen kilos is where a breaker stops being something you hold and becomes something you stand over. Every blow goes downward, the machine's own weight does much of the work, and the question is no longer whether it will break the concrete but how many square metres it gets through by evening.

The GSH 16-30, in plain terms

The GSH 16-30 is 16.9 kg with a 1,750 W motor, and lands 41 J at 1,300 blows a minute. It takes 30 mm hexagon chisels and has Bosch's Vibration Control. Bosch call it the universal performer of their corded breaker range — the one in the middle that does most heavy jobs well.

16-30 or 14 C?

Both draw 1,750 W. The GSH 14 C weighs 14.6 kg and hits 28 J at up to 1,950 blows a minute; the GSH 16-30 hits 41 J at 1,300. The 16-30 costs ₹33,726 more. Per joule, they cost almost exactly the same — about ₹2,540 for the 14 C and ₹2,560 for the 16-30 — so the choice is not about value. It is about the work.

  • GSH 16-30 for thick slabs, foundations and mass concrete, where a harder blow breaks material the lighter machine only chips.
  • GSH 14 C for beam corrections, breakthroughs and ground demolition on concrete and asphalt — the jobs Bosch list for it — and when 2.3 kg less to carry around site matters.
  • Chisels. The 14 C takes 22 mm hex, the 16-30 takes 30 mm hex. If your yard already has one size of chisel, that may decide it for you.

16-30 or 27 VC?

The GSH 27 VC is the top of Bosch's corded breaker range: 29.5 kg, 62 J, 28 mm hex, ₹1,99,993. That is ₹95,198 more than the 16-30 for 21 J more per blow — about ₹3,230 per joule against the 16-30's ₹2,560. Buy the 27 VC when the job is road cutting or very thick foundations and you will keep it busy. For most building work, the 16-30 is the better buy.

Who buys a 16 kg breaker

  • Demolition and civil contractors taking up floors, plinths and foundations.
  • Factories breaking old machine foundations before a new line goes in.
  • Rental shops that hire out breakers for floor and foundation jobs.
  • Road and drainage contractors, for smaller cuts where a 30 kg machine is too much.

Not for walls

A 16.9 kg machine cannot be held against a wall at chest height for any length of time, however much energy it has. For vertical or overhead work, buy a lighter machine — the 11 kg class for beams and columns, 5 kg for tiles and plaster.

Questions buyers ask

What is the price of a 16 kg breaker machine?

The Bosch GSH 16-30 is ₹1,04,795 including 18% GST, or ₹88,809 before GST.

Do you have the GSH 16-28?

It is not on our current list. The 16 kg Bosch breaker we sell is the GSH 16-30. If you were quoted a 16-28, ask us — and check its chisel fitting against the chisels you own before you compare prices.

Which chisels fit the GSH 16-30?

30 mm hexagon chisels. They do not fit the 22 mm hex GSH 14 C, the 28 mm hex GSH 27 VC or any SDS-max machine. We sell machines, not chisels.

16 kg or 11 kg — which do I need?

11 kg for openings, beams and columns, and any work above the floor. 16 kg when you are breaking a floor or a foundation and want it done in days, not weeks.

Is a 16 kg breaker better than a 14 kg one?

It hits harder (41 J against 28 J) and costs ₹33,726 more. Per joule the price is almost the same, so buy the one whose weight and chisel fitting suit your work.

Does it come with a GST invoice?

Yes, every order does. A GST-registered business can read what a proper tool invoice must show.

What does delivery cost for a machine this heavy?

Delivery is charged at actual cost, on top of the price, and confirmed on the call before you pay.
