Bosch Rotary Hammer (Hilti Machine) Price List, and Which Size for Which Hole
The second number in a GBH's name is the biggest hole it drills. Start there, then look at the price.
Updated 27 October 2026 · 7 min
On site, any rotary hammer gets called a hilti machine. Hilti is a separate company; we sell Bosch only, and Bosch's rotary hammers are the GBH range. The easiest way to choose one is by the hole: the second number in the name is the largest hole it drills in concrete. A GBH 2-28 goes up to 28 mm, a GBH 5-40 up to 40 mm.

SDS-plus or SDS-max
Everything up to the GBH 4-32 DFR takes SDS-plus bits. From the GBH 5-40 D upward the machines take SDS-max. The two do not interchange, and ordinary round-shank bits fit neither. If you already own a set of bits, that narrows the choice before price does. We sell machines, not bits.
Which machine for which buyer
- Electricians and AC, plumbing or interior fitters: the GBH 220 at ₹5,055 — 2.3 kg, holes up to 22 mm, and Bosch list three modes on it: hammer drilling, drilling and chiselling.
- Contractors drilling every day: the GBH 2-26 RE (₹13,926) or GBH 2-28 DV (₹17,476). Bosch rate both best between 8 and 16 mm, which is where most anchor work sits. How the three compare.
- Bigger anchors and heavier chiselling: the GBH 4-32 DFR at ₹33,453 — 4.2 J and still SDS-plus.
- Structural work, 40 mm and above: the SDS-max machines, from the GBH 5-40 D at ₹44,641 to the GBH 12-52 DV at ₹97,776.
- No power on site: an 18V machine. The bare-tool versions come without battery or charger, so read the Bosch battery guide before you add one.

Questions buyers ask
What is the price of a Bosch hilti machine?
From ₹5,055 (GBH 220) to ₹97,776 (GBH 12-52 DV), including 18% GST. The popular site machines are the GBH 2-26 RE at ₹13,926 and the GBH 2-28 DV at ₹17,476.
Which is the smallest, cheapest one?
The GBH 220: 2.3 kg, 720 W, 2 J, holes from 4 to 22 mm in concrete, ₹5,055. For no cord at all, the GBH 18V-18 bare tool is ₹11,832, without battery or charger.
Which rotary hammer for 12 mm anchors?
Any SDS-plus machine on this page will drill it. For a few holes a day the GBH 220 is enough. If you drill all day, Bosch rate the GBH 2-26 RE and GBH 2-28 DV best between 8 and 16 mm.
Is Bosch the same as Hilti?
No. Hilti is a different brand. People say “hilti machine” for any rotary hammer; we sell the Bosch ones.
Can these machines chisel?
Bosch list chiselling on the GBH 220, GBH 2-24 DRE, GBH 4-32 DFR and GBH 185-LI. For any other model, ask us before you buy it for chiselling. For real demolition, a breaker is the right tool.
Do the cordless ones come with a battery?
The ones marked bare tool (Solo) do not — no battery, no charger. For the GBH 185-LI, ask us what is in the box before you pay.
Are prices with GST, and do I get a bill?
Yes to both: all prices include 18% GST, and every order comes with a GST invoice. Delivery is charged at actual cost, on top, and confirmed on the call.
