Bosch 9 Inch Grinder Price: GWS 2200-230 to GWS 30-230 B

The 9 inch grinder takes the biggest disc of any grinder we sell, and the reason to buy one is depth of cut in thick stone or steel. Each model here is the 230 mm version of a 7 inch machine, with the same rated power where Bosch give it; the 7 inch price is in the last column. Every size is on the angle grinder price list.

The five machines, one by one

• GWS 2200-230 — ₹10,135. 2,200 W, 5.2 kg: the cheapest and lightest. Bosch say its patented motor runs cooler and gives longer carbon brush life. Before GST it is ₹8,589.
• GWS 24-230 — ₹12,867 (+₹2,732). 2,400 W, 5.8 kg. Bosch claim up to twice the material removal rate, and it comes with a Vibration Control side handle and a rubberised rear grip.
• GWS 24-230 JZ — ₹13,294 (+₹427). The same 2,400 W at 6 kg, with Bosch's CYCLON TECH dust protection. Bosch say it removes up to 90% of the dust from the motor's cooling air, so the motor lasts longer. For ₹427 more, it is worth having where the grinder cuts stone or concrete.
• GWS 27-230 PR — ₹17,637. No figures on the product page yet. Ask us for them.
• GWS 30-230 B — ₹27,097 (+₹14,230 over the 24-230). 2,800 W brushless, 5.9 kg, rattail rear handle, Vibration Control. Bosch say the brushless motor means less wear and less downtime. Buy it for a grinder that runs every shift.

9 inch or 7 inch?

The 7 inch disc spins at up to 8,500 rpm against 6,500 on the 9 inch, and the machine is easier to control. The 9 inch cuts deeper. If your work is fabrication on ordinary section, buy 7 inch and save the difference; see the 7 inch grinder price page. If you mainly cut marble or granite slabs, a marble cutter is lighter for the job. For many straight cuts in steel, a 14 inch chop saw is faster.

Do you sell 9 inch discs?

No. We sell the machines, not cutting or grinding discs. Use a 230 mm disc rated for at least 6,500 rpm.

How do I pay, and what does delivery cost?

Payment terms are agreed on the call for each order: full advance, part advance or payment on delivery. In Delhi NCR we send by Porter, often the same day. Outside NCR we send by transport. Delivery is free all over India on orders of ₹5,000 or more; below ₹5,000 it is ₹200, GST included. Or collect it from our counter in Badarpur.
