These are the two Bosch marble cutters (GDC, “diamond cutter”) we sell. The trade calls them marble cutter, tile cutter or cutting machine; they are the same tool — a fast, straight-cutting motor built to run a diamond blade through tile, marble, granite and concrete.

GDC 140 or GDC 141?
- GDC 140 — ₹4,182. 115 mm blade, cuts up to 35 mm deep, 1,400 W. Enough for vitrified and ceramic tiles, marble and granite slabs of normal thickness. The cheaper machine, and the one most tile fitters carry.
- GDC 141 — ₹4,702. 125 mm blade, 40 mm deep, 1,450 W, rated for dry cutting. Bosch describes it for tile and stone cutting at decoration projects and stone workshops, and for heavy work like wall chasing in concrete. Buy this one if the same machine will also cut channels for wiring or pipe.
- Same weight, same speed. Both are 3 kg and 12,000 rpm. The difference is blade size and therefore depth: 5 mm more cut for ₹520.
Which machine for tile cutting?
Marble cutter (GDC) — straight cuts, all day
Full-length straight cuts in tile and stone, skirting, steps, granite counters. The GDC is built for this: a cutter's base runs flat on the tile and the blade guard is shaped for wet stone dust.
4 or 5 inch angle grinder — notches, curves, small jobs
A grinder with a diamond blade cuts tile too, and it also grinds metal, which a marble cutter does not. If you cut tile only now and then, the cheapest 4 inch Bosch grinder, the GWS 700-100, is ₹2,428. Wall chasing for electricians
For a few channels a GDC 141 does the job. For whole buildings of conduit, a breaker is faster at clearing the channel; the breaker price list starts at the 5.7 kg GSH 5 HX.

Yes, with a diamond blade made for granite. The GDC 140 cuts up to 35 mm deep and the GDC 141 up to 40 mm, so a standard granite slab is within both.
Do you sell the diamond blade?
We sell the machines, not blades or discs. Buy a diamond blade of the right diameter — 115 mm for the GDC 140, 125 mm for the GDC 141 — and check the bore before paying.
Can I use a marble cutter on metal?
No. It is built for stone, tile and concrete. For metal use an angle grinder or, for rod and pipe, a 14 inch chop saw.
Are these prices with GST? Will I get a bill?
