Machine by machine
Cutting — GKS 190, GST 680, GCM 254
The “wood cutter” most carpenters mean is a hand-held circular saw. The GKS 190 (₹11,052) is 1,400 W with a 184 mm blade at 4.1 kg; the GKS 130 at ₹7,515 is cheaper, but its product page has no figures yet — ask us. For curves, sink and switch cut-outs, the GST 680 jigsaw (₹4,275, 500 W, bevel to 45° either side). For frames, beading and skirting cut at an angle, the GCM 254 mitre saw (₹19,725): 254 mm blade, 90 × 130 mm at 0°, and Bosch fit a direct laser to show the cut. Every saw we sell is on the wood cutter machine price list.
Planing and routing — GHO 16-82, GKF 550, GOF 130
The GHO 16-82 (₹5,823) planes 82 mm wide, 0–1.6 mm a pass, and rebates to 9 mm — enough to take a door down to its frame. The GKF 550 trimmer (₹6,040, 550 W, 1.4 kg) is the light one-hand router for edges. If you cut grooves and profiles all day, the GOF 130 router (₹10,909, 1,300 W, 6–8 mm bits) is the step up; Bosch list it for hardwood, softwood, MDF and plywood. All of them are on the planer, router and sander price list.
Sanding — GSS 140, GEX 125
The GSS 140 orbital sander (₹3,221, 220 W, 1.1 kg) is the one Bosch describe as ideal for carpenters, drywallers and plasterers — flat panels and edges. The GEX 125 random orbit sander (₹4,931, 280 W, 125 mm pad) is for a finer finish before polish or laminate.
Fixing, levelling, measuring — GSR 120-LI, GLL3X, GLM 30-23
The GSR 120-LI (₹3,779) is a 12V drill driver with one 2.0 Ah battery, 14/30 Nm and 20+1 torque settings, for hinges, channels and screws into wood. A GLL3X line laser (₹6,298, 15 m, ± 0.5 mm/m) puts one level line across a wall for shelves, wardrobes and ceiling channels; the GLM 30-23 (₹3,224) measures to 30 m, ± 1.5 mm. See the cordless drill, laser level and distance meter price lists for other models.
